Cassandra joined Kniess Law, LLC in 2021, after spending six years practicing family law as a solo practitioner and then with another family law firm. Her practice extends from Minnesota to Wisconsin and includes divorce, custody, post-decree matters, child support, child protection matters, step parent/second parent adoptions, paternity, and spousal maintenance matters.
Prior to becoming a lawyer, Cassandra worked as a law clerk for a family law firm. She was also involved in the Child Protection Clinic at William Mitchell College of Law, representing parents going through CHIPS actions in Hennepin and Ramsey County. Cassandra is also a Qualified Rule 114 Neutral.
Cassandra received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Hamline University in Saint Paul, Minnesota and her Juris Doctor from William Mitchell College of Law in 2015. Throughout her education, Cassandra volunteered and worked for domestic abuse shelters, helping women and children navigate through the most difficult time in their lives. It is from this experience that led Cassandra to the philosophy that every client needs to be treated on an individual level and on a case-by-case basis.
